NativNinja is a language learning app. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use our app.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information generated when you use the service, and limited information from service providers.

  • Uploaded and created content: image, video, audio, documents, and text files you upload or create in the app (for example, photos and recordings).
  • Authentication data: identity tokens issued by our identity provider when you sign in.
  • App account data: your identity-provider user identifier and app usage state in our backend database.
  • Newsletter data: your email address if you subscribe to marketing emails.
  • Subscription data: payment status, order IDs, and order dates provided by Polar. We do not receive your payment card details.

2. How long do we keep your data for?

  • We store the content you upload for the duration of your subscription. This is to allow for reprocessing as Nativ Ninja capabilities added and improved.
  • Your account and all data you have uploaded will be automatically deleted 12 months after your subscription ends.

3. How We Use Information

  • To provide language learning features.
  • To authenticate users and keep accounts secure.
  • To process subscriptions, free trials, and account access status.
  • To send newsletter emails if you have opted in.
  • To improve the reliability and performance of our services.

4. Authentication and Cookies

We use a managed identity provider for authentication. ID, access, and refresh tokens are stored in secure browser cookies configured with HTTPS and SameSite Lax.

5. Storage and Retention

Uploaded files are stored with cloud storage providers will be retained for the duration of your active subscription.

  • Our cloud services are hosted in secure data centers.
  • Our app database stores your identity-provider user ID and app state, but not your name, phone number, physical address, or email address.

6. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party providers to operate key parts of the service:

  • Cloud service providers (hosting, storage, processing, and authentication)

7. Payment Processing

We use Polar for subscription and payment processing. We do not receive or store your payment card details.

8. Newsletter Communications

We use Brevo for newsletter subscriptions and email marketing. If you sign up for our newsletter, we use a double opt-in process. You are subscribed only after confirming via the email we send. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in newsletter emails.

9. Your Choices

  • You may choose what files and text to upload or create in the app.
  • You may subscribe or unsubscribe from marketing communications.
  • You may stop using the service at any time by signing out.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the latest version.
